How it Works
The Eagle Eye
operator bookmarks
each athlete at the
finish line and
assigns a lane or
position
number to the
athlete. Once all
athletes in the race
have been
bookmarked, the race
is saved
(from a drop down
menu) according to
the number
associated with that
event in Hy-Tek. For
example, if the
men's 100m dash is
event 15 in Hy-Tek,
the race is save
within Eagle Eye as
event 15.
With the Tornado
File Transfer Tool
connected to each
computers USB port,
both computers
show their
respective files in
a split screen
format on both
computers -- no
additional
software
needed. he Eagle
Eye or the Hy-Tek
operator can simply
drag and drop the
results file into
the
Hy-Teks tfmeets
folder and - with
event 15 opened in
Hy-Tek, the operator
simply clicks the
Get
Times button and
the race results
automatically
populate in the
correct lanes and
positions.
Special
Configurations
In addition to
moving the results
file to computer 2,
the race video file
(separate from the
results
file) must also be
moved or
-re-directed to
computer 2 so that
computer two can
read the video.
This can be done be
changing the capture
folder by going to
Tool (to toolbar)
and selection
Options, Capture,
Capture folder....or
opening the Video
file on the C drive
and dragging (with
the
Tornado) the video
into a file on
computer 2 where it
can be accessed via
the Import function
or via the Browse
button within the
Directory window.
This process is not
as complicated as
this may sound.
Other Networking
Methods
Eagle Eye
recommends and
supports the Tornado
File Transfer Tool
for it's plug-n-play
operation and ease
of use.
Other methods can
be used to transfer
Eagle Eye results
files to the Hy-Tek
computer. Such
methods can be as
low tech as using
a USB or "stick"
drive to manual pass
files back and forth
or as complicated as
setting up a
network between two
computers with an
Ethernet or cross
over cable.
Tech Support
Due to the endless
configurations and
various operating
systems available,
Eagle Eye does not
provide technical
support for
networking computers
via network or
Ethernet cables.
Your institutions IT
department is better
equipped for this.
Instead, Eagle
promotes and offers
technical support
for the Tornado
Transfer Tool only.
